The Project
The "Pordenone Musei" project was created as part of Pordenone's bid to become the Italian Capital of Culture 2027.
The aim of the project is to create a permanent cultural ecosystem, involving municipal museums, temporary exhibition venues, a number of local museums and the wider community.
Thanks to specific regional funding, Pordenone’s museums, collections and cultural venues have been linked together through a coordinated system of shared tools. In addition to the single portal, integrated information and booking services have been launched, along with a management platform – called “Zeus” – which supports curators in publishing and organising content. Thematic urban itineraries, multimedia content and digital tools have also been developed to make visits more accessible and engaging. Artificial intelligence complements human work, optimises processes and ensures editorial consistency.
This new project showcases the city’s heritage and establishes Pordenone as a key hub for the whole of Western Friuli.
THE CITY
Other exhibition spaces involved
Small museums, libraries, galleries and venues across the city form a network of exhibition spaces that are now an integral part of Pordenone Musei in Rete. The cultural activities organised by local associations and volunteers enrich the calendar of exhibitions and events, making Pordenone’s cultural heritage an increasingly shared resource.
