The Roman villa at Torre di Pordenone is a major archaeological site owned by the state, situated in the Noncello River Park.
The part of the complex that is open to the public features a thermal bath complex and various other rooms, which help to reconstruct the function and opulence of this structure. The villa is a unique example of a mixed-use residential and commercial settlement in Roman-era western Friuli.
The site was brought to light by Count Giuseppe di Ragogna, who, between 1950 and 1952, excavated the remains of part of a vast residential and industrial complex, richly decorated with exquisite frescoed plasterwork and fine marble.
