A harsh, open environment of shrubs, sparse trees and extreme climate: this is the savannah, where each species is part of a delicate balance. At the base are plants, then herbivores, and finally predators, in a constant “race” between escape and hunting. To survive, many animals move in groups, use camouflage or rely on speed. Predators respond with ambushes, chases and coordinated strategies. Even “scavengers”, such as hyenas and vultures, play a vital role in keeping the ecosystem healthy.

In this room, all of this takes shape in a striking way: the lions, in particular, stand out for the quality of the taxidermy, capable of conveying posture, tension and presence with remarkable realism.
